Attaching a Document to a client record
There may be a need to attach a digital document to a client's record in ServicePoint, such as a release of information or a Professional Statement of Need. To upload and attach a document to a client's record, you must first have the document saved on your computer.
- Enter EDA mode as the provider that will be used for the client record.
- Next, navigate to ClientPoint (1) to search for the client record (2) you're attaching a document to.
- When prompted by the Back Date Mode pop-up, select Use Current System Date.
- Click on the Client Profile tab.
- Scroll down to the File Attachments section and click Add New File Attachment.
- Click on Browse in the Upload Attachment pop-up.
- When the File Explorer window appears, locate the file you want to attach and click Open.
- Finally, add a description of the file if you'd like, then click Upload. The file is now attached to the client record.
Note: Supported File Types
- .pdf - PDF file
- .doc and .docx - Microsoft Word file
- .rtf - Rich Text Format file
- .txt - Plain text file
- JPEG (or JPG) - Joint Photographic Experts Group
- PNG - Portable Network Graphics
- GIF - Graphics Interchange Format
- BMP - Bitmap file
Audio and video files are not supported.
