Street Outreach Clients Not Showing Up in Reports

When the Quarterly Data Quality (QDQ) report is used for Street Outreach providers, users may notice that the report does not pull in all of the clients for the provider. This happens only with Street Outreach providers, so it may be an easy thing to miss.

The Quarterly Data Quality report (MIN-01-DQR-251 - Quarterly Data Quality Monitoring) only works for data entry providers that use entry/exits; it will not work correctly for providers who use only service transactions. In particular, for Street Outreach providers, a valid Date of Engagement is needed.

Street Outreach projects are scored based on data quality only for client records with a valid Date of Engagement. If the Date of Engagement is missing, then the client record will not appear in the QDQ report.

Read more about this standard in the HUD HMIS Data Standards Manual.

If you want to see whether clients have a date of engagement or not, and if there are errors associated with that data element, try the 278 Report (MIN-99-DQR-278 - Contact and Engagement Monitoring).
