FHPAP: Checking for Recent FHPAP Payments

As of June 1st, 2023, MHFA (MN Housing and Finance Agency) requires its FHPAP grantees and projects to record any recent FHPAP payments in all Head of Household client records in HMIS.

There are two places within a client record you can check to make sure this requirement is completed: (1) the Service Transaction tab and (2) the Entry/Exit tab.

  • Note! You will only be able to view client records created by other agencies that are open to Statewide Data Sharing.

You can find more FHPAP program-specific information and resources on our website HERE: Forms and Instructions

Check the Service Transactions Tab

The Service Transaction tab in a client’s record is the first place to identify if another FHPAP funded agency has entered a recent financial payment, such as rent or a housing deposit. To do this:

  1. Open the client’s record in ClientPoint
  2. Once in the client’s record, navigate to the Service Transactions tab and click on the View Entire Service History box on the dashboard:
  3. Next, click on the Services sub-tab to view a list of services. Here you can see if there has been a recent (within the last 60 days) payment entered by another FHPAP provider:
  4. Click on the edit pencil to the left of a row to view the details about a particular service provided to the client.

Check the Entry/Exit Tab

You can check the Entry/Exit tab in a client’s record to identify if they are currently or have recently been enrolled in another FHPAP project. Entry into another FHPAP project might indicate that another agency is making a payment on the client’s behalf.

  1. Open the client’s record in ClientPoint
  2. Once in the client’s record, navigate to the Entry/Exit tab to view a list of project enrollments and dates for the client:
