Core Export Report


Overview

The Core Export provides a general overview of data, including but not limited to: demographics, disabilities, enrollments, domestic violence, history of homelessness, and much of the same data as the previous iteration of the Core Report.

Please note, the export version is temporary and we will eventually build out a summary table within the report so it will look like previous iterations of the Core Report.

More About This

Our most commonly used report, the Core acts as an excellent overview of your agency's projects, especially when run periodically over time.

Details

  1. Before running the Core Export,  make sure you have selected the correct organization in your settings.
  2. Navigate to the Reports workspace, located in the main menu, followed by the Minnesota Funders folder:

  3. After selecting the report you will see a series of prompts:
  4. Level options:
    1. Continuum of Care wide (including specific project types): This allows you to run the report for a specific CoC and any project types you wish to include. Only CoC Coordinators should select this option.
    2. Project-Specific (including multiple projects): This allows you to run the report for specific organizations, project types, and individual projects.

  5. Start/end dates: Select the date range for your report. Only records that fall within the date range you select will be included:

  6. If you select Continuum of Care wide (only CoC Coordinators should select this option) for level, the prompts will appear in this order. Select your CoC, followed by all project types you wish to include:


  7. If you select Project-Specific (including multiple projects), which most users will use, the prompts will appear in this order:

    1. Select your preferred date range.
    2. Select your organization.
    3. Select the project types you want to include in the report. To ensure you're not missing any projects in the project list, you can select every project type by clicking the icon on the right.
    4. Select the projects you want included in the report.
  8. Once you've completed the prompts, click Run Export in the bottom right corner of the page:

  9. You'll see a message regarding encrypting the export, click to unselect. Your final message page should look like this:

  10. Click done to begin running the report in the background.
  11. You can check the status of your report under Files on Server, where the report will appear once completed as a zip file:

  12. From here the report will appear in the Downloads folder of your computer. Within the zipped file, there will an an excel file available to view the data.
