How do I register for New User Training?

Just starting out as a HMIS user?

HMIS User Training teaches individuals how to enter client data and generate reports on behalf of their agencies; this training is required for any person wanting to use Minnesota’s HMIS. By successfully completing new User Training, a person becomes a licensed HMIS live site user.

ICA Minnesota offers online training through an engaging and interactive learning platform called Moodle. The courses on the training platform introduce users to Minnesota's HMIS through a combination of short videos, reference guides, quizzes, and hands-on practice on the Community Services training site.

To register an individual for Minnesota's HMIS User Training, please visit the training page of our website: https://www.hmismn.org/user-training

Prospective users should not submit the registration form themselves: Instead, to confirm that the information supplied to ICA is accurate and that the prospective user is truly the representative of an HMIS-participating agency, the registration form must be submitted by either a current HMIS user or an agency supervisor on their behalf. Any registration forms that do not list a current HMIS user or agency supervisor will need to be verified by ICA.

Please contact the Helpdesk with any additional questions.

Note:  We are not currently offering this training in person.
