Running the PATH Annual Report for Data Quality

If your program receives Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness (PATH) Funding, you can run the PATH Annual Report to be compatible for checking your program's data quality.

Attention! 🚨 Only clients with a PATH Program entry date will show up on this report

Follow these steps

Report Location: Reports Workspace > HMIS Reports > PATH Annual Report (2024)

  1. Navigate to the Reports Workspace
  2. Click on the HMIS reports folder, then select the PATH Annual Report (2024):


  1. Then choose the date range for your report:

  2. Complete only the PATH Program(s) section by selecting your PATH programs, as shown below. To run, click Report:

  3. Once it is ready, open your report.
  4. View client-level data in a new window by clicking on underlined table titles:

  5. From the new window, you can save the client-level data in an excel document.
  6. Select the Save icon.
  7. Click Excel Data for a spreadsheet you can format and filter.
  8. Choose Export as XLSX:

  9. Save your report in a secure location.

🚨This report contains client names. Never email or save it in an unsecured location.

  1. Open your report in Excel.
  2. If you saved your report as Excel Data: to sort and filter client details, format your report as an Excel Table.

Helpful Things to Know While Reviewing for Data Quality:

After you've downloaded and formatted your report as an Excel table, you can identify which specific clients might be missing data elements that would impact the summary table counts in the report.

  • Example: in order for services and referrals to be counted in the report, a client needs to have the following Data Elements completed, as shown in the table below:
      • PATH Date of Engagement (DOE) - column AO
      • Date PATH Status Determined - column AP
      • Enrolled in PATH field entered as Yes - column AQ
