Overview
The first step for a housing provider when you have received a Coordinated Entry (CE) referral is to acknowledge that referral in HMIS. Completing step lets your CoC's Coordinated Entry Team know that you will be taking the steps to reach out to the client in order to fill your housing vacancy.
Instructions
- On the Clients workspace, find the client that was referred to your housing program.
- Expand the Enrollment and Services folder and select CE Event:
- On the Coordinated Entry (CE) Event page, find the event and click on its edit icon:
The CE Event is a spot where housing providers and Priority List Managers both add their own parts of the story.
- On form, locate the Date Referral Acknowledged field and record the date you first learned of the housing referral:
- You can also update the Housing Provider Contact Name, Phone, and Email fields so the CoC's CE team has the right information to reach you quickly.
- That is all you should do in the CE Event for now until you reach out to the client!
- You can now click Save, and exit out of the client record.
Now that you’ve acknowledged the referral, the next step is to reach out to the client. Check out Resolve the Housing Referral for more information!
