Need a way to check whether the date your client moved into housing is in HMIS? Check out the Housing Move-In Date Checker!

What this is

The Housing Move-In Date (HMID) Checker helps you see with just a few clicks if move-in dates are accurate for clients your housing program. This includes projects like Rapid Re-Housing (RRH) and Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH).

Where to find the HMID Checker

  • This tool is located in the Home workspace (not the Reports workspace).
  • My ClientTrack -> Data Checkers -> Housing Move-In Date Checker (073)

Follow these steps (click, click, click, results :)

Select your filters

  • Organization: Select your agency
  • Program: Choose your housing program
  • Case Manager (optional): You can filter to only see clients assigned to a specific case manager or enroller
  • Currently enrolled OR date range: select currently enrolled or enter start and end dates
  • Click Search

What you will see

For each head of household enrolled, you will see:

Program | Client ID | Enrollment date | Housing Move-In date (if there is one) | Exit date

What you can do from here

Fix the data right from here. If the move-in date is missing or looks incorrect, you can update the Housing Move-In Date directly. Just select the action button to update the Housing Move-In Date for that enrollment.

Do not change the project start date when updating the Housing Move-In Date. Scroll down and all the way over!

Open the client record. You can also go directly to the client record using the action button.

Want to download the list? You can also Export your projects Housing Move-In Date data checker results by selecting the "Excel Export" button from the printer icon menu located in the top right of your screen.

You can use the HMID checker regularly as a data quality tool for your permanent housing projects. Missing or incorrect Housing Move-In Dates misrepresent housing outcomes and cause reporting errors.
