How To Set Your Security Question

What this is

It is encouraged to set up a security question for your HMIS account. This allows you to reset your password if you ever forget it. If you skip this step, you won’t be able to reset your password on your own later. Optionally, you can also set up 2-step verification for enhanced security.

What you need to know

Follow these steps:

  1. After logging into HMIS, click on your User Profile (your initials):

  2. Scroll down and click on Security Settings:

  3. Click Update your account recovery information

  1. Enter a Security Question and Answer

When you are done

  1. Set up 2-step verification for enhanced HMIS Account security (optional)

  2. Select configure, then follow the set-up prompts

Once you configure 2-step verification, you will not be able to sign into HMIS unless you have your mobile device
