How to find and use REPORTcollectionV2 base

Author: ICA | Date Created: July 17th, 2025 |

What is this?

ICA maintains the REPORTcollectionV2, a library of reports in Minnesota’s HMIS. It helps communities understand who is experiencing homelessness and which interventions work best to prevent and end it. Also, it's ICA’s tool to help you find and understand HMIS reports. It shows which reports are currently available, in progress, or planned.

How the REPORTcollectionV2 is used

You can use this tool to:

  • Find reports by name, folder location in HMIS, or purpose
  • See what reports are being built or replaced
  • Understand how reports are changing in HMIS

You should know:

  • The REPORTcollectionV2's Report Directory is updated regularly to reflect the latest status of reports.
  • The Transition Crosswalk section maps old Community Services reports to current or planned versions.

Where to find the REPORTCOLLECTIONV2?

The REPORTcollectionV2's Report Directory and Transition Crosswalk are located in HMIS under the Reports Workspace or can be accessed HERE

How to use the Report Directory

  • Use filters at the top to narrow down results by workspace, folder location, CoC, report type, or funding source.
  • Look at each report’s status (e.g., Current, Planned, Under Development) to know whether it’s ready to use.

How to use the Transition Crosswalk

  • Find the report number or name from the old system (Community Services).
  • Check the matching row to see if it will be rebuilt, replaced, or retired.
  • If a replacement exists, the new report name and link will be listed.
