Forgetting to Use Enter Data As Mode (EDA)

EDA is important!

If you find that you forgot to enter EDA mode before doing data entry on a client, the best practice is to DELETE the data and start over again in the correct EDA provider. EDA is all about giving the right people the right access to the right data. If you forget to enter the right EDA provider, the data you are entering may not be visible to the right people or vice versa!

How to delete client data

1
Login to the Minnesota ServicePoint site.
2
If you forgot to enter EDA mode and your data has been stored at your default or home provider, just search for and enter the client record where data was incorrectly entered. If you used an incorrect EDA project provider to create data, EDA to the provider that created the data. If you are deleting data, you have to be in EDA mode to the provider that created the data.
3
Depending on how much data you entered while in the wrong EDA provider, go to the appropriate tab – Client Profile, Entry/Exit, or the Assessments tab are the most common.
4
Click on the history bar (may be red, brown, or green) to the left of the data element, then click on the trash can next to the value you want to delete.

5
Exit the client record – do not Save after deleting the data. You can then enter EDA mode to the correct provider and re-enter the client data.
