How to get to the facilities workspace and select the facility

What this is

The Facilities workspace is used by emergency shelter projects with a bed list to record when clients check in and check out. It supports both night‑by‑night (NbN) and entry/exit (EE) shelters.

Select your shelter from the View Facilities menu to ensure you are working with the correct reservations and check‑ins for that shelter.

Follow these steps

1. Confirm your user settings

    • Workgroup: Emergency Shelter Staff
    • Organization: Your agency’s shelter facility

Whenever you are completing data entry in the facilities workspace, you should first always confirm that you are working under the correct Workgroup and Organization.

  1. On the left workspace menu, go to the Facilities workspace - click Facilities
  2. Select "View Facilities".
  3. Pick your shelter - Select the shelter project on the list.

When you are done

After selecting your shelter, you will see clients listed in Reservation Check-In and Current Residents for that shelter.

If you need to switch to another shelter, repeat these steps and select a different facility.
