Logging into and using HMIS regularly is an important part of: being a licensed HMIS user, keeping your HMIS skills in good use, and ensuring your HMIS account does not become inactive.

  • HMIS knowledge is current
  • Your program's data quality is up-to-date
  • Your HMIS account does not become inactive

What happens if my HMIS account becomes inactive?

⏰If you use HMIS infrequently, set a reminder to log in regularly

  • Log into HMIS at least once every 90 days to prevent your HMIS account from being automatically inactive and locked. Once your HMIS account is inactive, will need to email our Helpdesk to regain access - MNHMIS@icalliances.org
  • After six months of no activity, to regain access you will be required to re-take HMIS User Training. If you need to retrain, our Helpdesk will guide you through the process and steps needed.
