How to create a shelter bed reservation

This article tells you how to create a shelter bed reservation for shelters who use facilities.
What you need to know
If you found an active shelter enrollment, you might not need to create a bed reservation.
- If the client is enrolled in an extended-stay shelter: They usually don’t need a new reservation. It's a good idea to contact the shelter to confirm the client is returning.
- If the client is enrolling in a night-by-night shelter: Check if they already have a matching reservation before making a new one.
Follow these steps
The client must have a enrollment in the shelter before you are able to create a bed reservation.
- On the Client Dashboard, click Housing Reservation.
- On the Housing Facilities form, find the row for the Shelter facility, click on the Reservation link:
- On the Housing Reservation form, complete the fields.
💥 NOTE: Shelter staff will assign the Room & Bed at a later time. Please DO NOT fill out those fields at this point in the Reservation process!
- Click the Save button in the bottom-right corner of the page to complete the reservation!
- If you are reserving spaces for a family, repeat the steps for each individual family member.
