What happens if I start an enrollment but don't complete it?

What this is
Did you forget to ask a client a question and need to get more information from them before completing the enrollment? Or maybe you started an enrollment and then realized it was a mistake?
This article will show you when it is ok to pause or delete an enrollment and how to do it.
What the issue is
You should never cancel an enrollment as a shortcut.
😖 😠Cancelling or exiting an enrollment before you finish it still creates the enrollment. 😠😖
The missing information could negatively impact your client or your project:
- It may not have critical information to prioritize them for housing
- Your enrollment will be out of compliance with your funder
- You will need to go back and complete the missing data at a later date
Follow these steps to fix it
If you need to step away from your enrollment, instead of cancelling the enrollment you should pause the enrollment and come back to it as soon as you can:
The Pause button can be found below the guided workflow steps:
To return to a paused workflow click on the Home workspace, and click on the Paused Operations option in the menu:
On the Paused Operations page, you can view a list of all the Paused Workflows you currently have open:
Click on the Play button to re-open the Workflow:
If you begin an enrollment and then later realize you shouldn't have, you will need to delete the incorrect enrollment.
To delete the enrollment:
On the Client's dashboard, find the enrollment that was made mistakenly:
Click on the action button next to that enrollment and select Delete Enrollment:
- You should then re-enroll the client correctly if needed.
When you are done
You should be able to pause your data entry and go back to it or delete a mistake the right way.
