What this is

This article tells you how to create a shelter diversion enrollment for Ramsey County Shelter Engagement & Diversion or SHED team.

What you need to know

People can get help from diversion programs if they’ve have been homeless 90 days or less or not yet homeless or at risk.

Follow these steps

🚨Do not use the Intake button. It won’t ask the right questions, and important info will be missing from the client’s profile.🚨

  1. On the client workspace, find the Ramsey Shelter Reversion Team folder.
  2. Click on the Ramsey Diversion Workflow to launch the entry assessment workflow

  1. Once you get to the Program Enrollment form, be sure to chose project RCHS-HP-RCC-DHS-OE ESP/DES-CED-Shelter Diversion Team from the project drop down menu.

  1. Continue through the workflow, answering all the questions.
  2. When you reach the end of the entry assessment, click the Finish button to close the workflow

Diversion programs help people who are at risk of becoming homeless by offering support like counseling and financial assistance to keep them in stable housing. The goal is to stop them from needing to enter the homeless shelter system.
