What this is

At Institute for Community Alliances (ICA), we are your HMIS data experts, and we are here to support you. To get the help you need, we have a variety of resources.

Self Service Resources

  • Knowledge Base - A collection of resources that includes guides, tutorials, and answers to common questions to support you in entering and managing data accurately.
  • Data Checkers - These tools help you quickly identify and correct missing or incorrect data in HMIS.
  • Release Notes - Learn about new features, fixes and changes to HMIS and reports.
  • Report Collection - ICA’s tool to help you find and understand HMIS reports.
  • Moodle - Once you become an HMIS user, you have access to our on-line training platform, so you can refresh your learning at any time.
  • MN HMIS Website - A place to find administrative documents, information about the HMIS Governing board and data collection forms.

Interactive Resources

  • HMIS Helpdesk - If you prefer email, you can connect with our helpdesk team at MNHMIS@icalliances.org
  • HMIS Troubleshooting Call - You can book a 15- or 30-minute virtual HMIS troubleshooting call with a Helpdesk team member.
  • Webinars - These webinars include updates and changes to HMIS and reports, what is expected soon, and a chance to ask questions.
  • Byte-Sized HMIS - Join HMIS Helpdesk Manager Betty Notto for Byte-Sized HMIS, our monthly 45-minute training and Q&A series. Each month, we dive into a fresh topic to help you navigate the system with confidence. Stay for the demo, bring your questions, and leave with the answers you need
  • Virtual or in-person trainings - We’d like to visit you in-person or virtually to help meet you and your organization’s training needs.
